Another lesson that I learned from auditioning so much is that there is only one way to forget about an audition– audition for something else. I haven’t heard anything about the Scottish Rite auditions, but in the meantime, I auditioned and got a callback for a non-union cable commercial (ESPN, ESPN2, Speed Channel) and I’m also going to callbacks tonight for Capital T Theatre’s frontera fest entry The Bird and The Bee. The two plays got a lot of attention at the Edinburgh festival. Not all the reviews I read were good, but it sounds dark and ambitious:
Chloe and Jacob are beautifully in love. The first time they meet, they end their lives. The runaway hit of the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, these two short plays explore the trajectory of two disaffected youths in two starkly different stories. Acted by the same company of 4 actors the Bird by Al Smith explores Jakob’s journey, while The Bee by Matt Hartley tells Chloe’s story.
